A Go-od Story about Purpose
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
From the very beginning, this self-described scrappy start-up has been committed to ‘measuring what matters.’ However, like most companies, they found themselves knee-deep in the OKR weeds and felt bogged down by the process. They started to question if OKRs were worth it.
A quick assessment of their OKR work to date revealed the need for a handful of strategic conversations which would allow them to efficiently focus on the critical few Key Results (and get out of the weeds). Once they created their list of laser-focused key results, we helped them customize their OKR process.
Explicitly defined metrics are part of their robust and streamlined monitoring efforts. If a key result is about to veer off-track, they know which critical questions to ask to ensure they get it back on track (or confidently pivot, if appropriate).
Today this group not only measures what matters, but also talks about what matters. There is a renewed excitement about and appreciation for the transformative power of OKRs.
The Leadership Team sees how the new OKR process contributes to a culture that values problem-solving and enables heightened employee engagement.
